MEXICO EXTENDS ITS SYMPATHY TO PERU

On behalf of the Mexican government, the Foreign Ministry extends its deepest condolences to the people and government of Peru for the deaths and damage caused by a landslide in the town of Chosica and by the flooding of the Amazon River in the Loreto region that left one dead, dozens injured and thousands homeless.

Mexico also extends its sympathy to the families of all those affected at this difficult time. The Mexican Foreign Ministry is ready to respond to any request for assistance that is required as a result of these emergencies in Peru.
