THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS BOOK FAIR IS INAUGURATED · The launch was attended by the general public and 16 publishers. The inauguration was chaired by Laura Bosques (daughter of Ambassador Bosques), the Director General of the Matías Romero Institute, Ambassador Pablo Macedo, and the coordinator for artistic heritage and director of the Foreign Ministry Museum, Xavier Gurza. At noon, students from the Matías Romero Institute, diplomats and the general public attended a conference on the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME) and its publications given by IME Executive Director Francisco Javier Diaz de Leon. Later, there was a talk at 4:00 p.m. on the life and work of Ambassador Gilberto Bosques, to whom the fair was dedicated. His daughter, Laura Bosques, shared anecdotes about her father and his principles as a diplomat dedicated to improving human rights. The talk was attended, among others, by Jose Luis Gutierrez Espindola from the Mexico City Human Rights Commission and Joaquín Urquidi, the communications expert and former private secretary to Ambassador Bosques, and was moderated by IMR Coordinator for Publications and International Programs, Cuauhtemoc Villamar. The internationalists and audience enjoyed the talk and expressed their interest through their questions. The program for Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 is as follows: Saturday, April 14, 2012 12:30 to 1:30 pm: Book Presentation: Indómita: Cartas a Noruega sobre la Revolución Mexicana (Untamed: Letters to Norway on the Mexican Revolution), book by Margaret Ann Plahte. Compiled and selected by Camilla Plahte, prefaced by Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store. 3:00-4:00 p.m.: Musical presentation by Marilu Quintero and Eustiquio Roldán: Rancheras and Boleros. 5:00-6:00 p.m.:Perfect Roses Gothic Symphony Orchestra in the Cuauhtemoc Delegation. Sunday, April 15 12:30-1:30 p.m.: Musical presentation: Klezmer music concert with Klezmorimband. 4:00-4:45 p.m.: Tlatelli Folkloric Ballet in Tlatelolco 4:50-5:30 p.m. Dance presentation by the Guenda Nabani Folkloric Ballet 6:00-6:45 p.m.: Closing ceremony Admission is free to the Foreign Ministry Museum. It is open from Wednesday through Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is located in the former Oratory of St. Philip Neri at 47 Republic of El Salvador St. in Mexico City’s historic center. The nearest Metro stations are Isabel la Católica and San Juan de Letrán. It is also near the new Isabel la Catolica Metrobus station.
