MEXICO LAMENTS THE DEATH OF FORMER PANAMANIAN PRESIDENT JORGE ENRIQUE ILLUECA SIBAUSTE

On behalf of the Mexican government, the Foreign Ministry extends its deepest condolences to the government and people of Panama for the death of former President Jorge Enrique Illueca Sibauste this afternoon in Panama City.

The former president was also a lawyer and diplomat who served as Foreign Minister, Vice President, Ambassador to the United Nations and President of the UN General Assembly.

The Mexican Foreign Ministry extends its condolences to the family and friends of former President Illueca Sibauste, who dedicated his life to public service and to multilateral politics for the good of the Panamanian public and the Latin American and Caribbean community.
