TRAVEL TIPS FOR THE  LONDON 2012 OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC GAMES

The 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held in London from July 27 to August 12 and August 29 to September 9, respectively. The Foreign Ministry has put together a travel guide for Mexicans who will be traveling to London at that time.

Travelers can consult the guide for immigration and customs requirements for Mexican citizens. It also contains information and recommendations for tickets, lodging, medical services, the security measures put in place by the Organizing Committee and what to do to avoid risks and problems while traveling.

The Foreign Ministry recommends that travelers register with the Registration System for Mexicans Abroad (SIRME) online by entering their information and itinerary in case they should need consular assistance or protection at any time during their trip. The information is confidential and protected under the Federal Law of Transparency and Access to Public Government Information and its rules and regulations.
