MEXICO BIDS FAREWELL TO THE CHILDREN VISITING FROM SOMA, JAPAN

At the National Charros Association today, the Mexican government said farewell to the 22 children from Soma, Japan who visited Mexico for about 11 days.

The Foreign Ministry’s Director General for Technical and Scientific Cooperation, José Octavio Tripp; the Japanese ambassador in Mexico, Shuichiro Megata; and the President of the National Association of Charros, Jorge Humberto Jimenez Vazquez, attended the ceremony.

The visitors, who experienced the March 2011 earthquake in Japan, thanked the Mexican government and people for their solidarity before watching the charros perform in a display of horsemanship.
