INAUGURATION OF AN INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON COOPERATIVES IN THE FOREIGN MINISTRY  

As part of the International Year of Cooperatives, an international seminar on cooperatives was inaugurated today in the Foreign Ministry with the participation of the Director of Economic and Social Affairs of the Directorate General for the United Nations, Elisa Pérez.

Other speakers included the Chairman of the National Committee for the International Year of Cooperatives, Tomás Carrizales, and the International Labor Organization’s Senior Specialist in Businesses, Cooperatives and Local Economic Development for the Andean Countries, Philippe Vanhuynegem, who later gave a talk on the subject.
