AN EXHIBITION OF MAPS FROM THE ARCHIVES OF DIPLOMATIC HISTORY OPENS IN GUADALAJARA

An exhibition entitled “A Journey through Maps: Exploring the Codes of Latin America” ​​was inaugurated in the temporary exhibition hall of the Jalisco State House. Attending the inauguration were Governor Emilio Gonzalez Marquez; Secretary of State for Culture, Alejandro Cravioto; and the Foreign Ministry’s Director of the Archives of Diplomatic History, Dr. Mercedes de Vega.

The exhibition aims to show Mexico’s road to independence through maps. It will be open to the public until early 2013.
