FOREIGN SECRETARY PATRICIA ESPINOSA MEETS WITH COLOMBIAN FOREIGN MINISTER MARÍA ÁNGELA HOLGUÍN Today, during the sixty-seventh session of the United Nations General Assembly, Foreign Secretary Patricia Espinosa held a working meeting with Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar. During their meeting, the two officials reviewed the progress of the resolutions adopted at their recent meeting on August 20th. They reiterated the strong commitment of Mexico and Colombia to continue their high-level political dialogue and to cooperate in all areas of the relationship, including giving impetus to the fight against drug trafficking and transnational organized crime at the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels. As part of the regional agenda, they discussed the Pacific Alliance, reaffirming their commitment to participating in the next ministerial meeting to be held in November in order to make progress with the presidential resolutions made at the Paranal summit held in June. The signing of these agreements demonstrates the close cooperation and mutual trust that exists between the two countries for promoting their regional interests.
