THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT EXTENDS ITS SYMPATHIES TO THE PEOPLE AND GOVERNMENTS OF THE BAHAMAS, CUBA, HAITI AND JAMAICA

On behalf of the Mexican government, the Foreign Ministry conveys its sincere condolences to the governments and people of the Bahamas, Cuba, Haiti and Jamaica for the victims of and damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

The Foreign Ministry also conveys its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and extends its sympathy to all of those who have been injured or otherwise affected.

The Mexican government is paying close attention to how the emergency is developing in these four countries and is ready to respond to any request for assistance.

The Foreign Ministry has instructed its embassies in Cuba, Haiti and Jamaica (concurrent with the Bahamas) to be alert to the needs of our fellow citizens in these countries as a result of this emergency.
