AMBASSADOR BEATRIZ PAREDES PRESENTS HER DIPLOMATIC CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT DILMA ROUSSEFF Ambassador Beatriz Paredes presented her diplomatic credentials accrediting her as Mexico’s ambassador to Brazil to President Dilma Rousseff today. The ceremony was attended by Brazilian Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota and the Special Advisor to the President for International Affairs, Marco Aurélio Garcia. At a ceremony in Itamaraty Palace, headquarters of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Paredes conveyed greetings from Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to the Brazilian president. President Rousseff expressed her willingness to promote closer relations between the two countries. In a cordial atmosphere, President Rousseff and Ambassador Paredes stressed the importance of the Mexico-Brazil relationship for ensuring a strong Latin America that plays an important role in the world. The meeting was characterized by great warmth. It begins a new era in the bilateral relationship that will be marked by the interest of both countries in strengthening their ties based on the historical friendship between our two societies.
