FOREIGN SECRETARY MEADE MEETS WITH U.S. SECRETARY OF STATE HILLARY CLINTON Foreign Secretary José Antonio Meade Kuribreña met today in Washington, DC with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Accompanied by members of their staffs, the two officials discussed the strategic nature of the relationship between Mexico and the United States, as well as the most important bilateral, hemispheric and global issues. Foreign Secretary Meade acknowledged the Secretary of State’s many contributions to forging stronger ties between the two governments and their societies, and to international issues of shared interest. He expressed his commitment to continuing to collaborate and coordinate with the next head of the State Department, Senator John Kerry, who was ratified yesterday by the U.S. Senate as the next Secretary of State.
