U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA TO MAKE A WORKING VISIT TO MEXICO

 

The Foreign Ministry reports that, in a telephone conversation today, U.S. President Barack Obama accepted President Peña Nieto´s invitation to make a working visit to Mexico in the first week of May.

 

The presidents’ meeting will reaffirm the strategic importance of the bilateral relationship and the opportunities it represents. Both governments are working to find new ways to expand the mutual benefits of cooperation in North America and as responsible global partner.

 

The bilateral agenda is extensive and directly affects both societies. During the visit, the presidents will discuss competitiveness, education and innovation, border infrastructure and facilitation, trade, migration and citizen security, among other issues of mutual interest.
