PRESIDENT ENRIQUE PENA NIETO IN PERU
• The president will attend the World Economic Forum on Latin America.
President Enrique Peña Nieto will travel to Lima on Tuesday for a two-day visit. One of the goals of the trip is to strengthen the relationship with Peru, a strategic partner in the region. The president will also attend the 8th meeting of the World Economic Forum on Latin America, at the invitation of the forum´s president and founder, Professor Klaus Schwab.
The Mexican president will hold a bilateral meeting with Peruvian President Ollanta Humala Tasso, with whom he will review various bilateral and multilateral issues as part of the good understanding and political dialogue that characterizes the relationship between the two countries.
Specifically, the two leaders are expected to discuss ways to continue promoting trade and investment under the Mexico-Peru Trade Integration Agreement in order to further strengthen the bilateral economic relationship.
At the World Economic Forum, President Peña Nieto will discuss business opportunities in Mexico.
The Forum will focus on topics such as modernizing the Latin American economies, strengthening society through innovation, creating favorable conditions for sustainable development by focusing on growth with quality and the establishment of inclusive societies.
