THE PRESIDENT APPOINTS MEXICO’S PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE TO THE OECD

 

The Foreign Ministry reports that President Enrique Peña Nieto, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Article 89 of the Mexican Constitution, has appointed Dionisio Arturo Perez Jacome Friscione as Representative of Mexico to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France.

 

Perez Jacome Friscione holds a degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and has two Masters degrees: one in International Business from the ITAM and one in Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

 

He has served as Secretary of Communications and Transportation; Undersecretary of Expenditures at the Finance Ministry; Chief of Staff to the President; and Third Secretary attached to the Embassy of Mexico in Canada.

 

He has been awarded the Good Neighbor Award from the Mexico-US Chamber of Commerce and has written several publications related to good governance, accountability and energy regulation.
