FOREIGN SECRETARY MEADE TO TRAVEL TO BRAZIL

Foreign Secretary José Antonio Meade will travel to Brazil on Friday, May 17th to strengthen the bilateral relationship.

The strategic issues that Foreign Secretary Meade will discuss with his counterpart, Antonio Patriota, include tourism and cultural cooperation, which are part of the rich identity of both nations.

A stronger relationship will help give impetus to the enormous potential for growth in these two areas and in trade, overall. Currently, trade between Mexico and Brazil totals 10.69 billion dollars. Mexico is the largest investor from Latin America and the Caribbean in Brazil and the eighth largest, worldwide.

Mexico's investments in Brazil total 30 billion dollars, even more than China’s investments in Brazil.
